Project Life Support.

frame, brakelines, exhaust needs patching, and the engine needs some work, and some minor rust work on the body.

Sounds like your frame is the biggest part. What's up with the engine?

Does PA still have that law about vehicles not being on the road with rust holes the size of a quarter?

Put the bed liner back in because of that rust. I might be buying an IAC for the Zx2 soon since I have a guy coming to look at the old truck cap friday night. Other than that, nothing major is going on.

Switching from 10w30 to 10w40 tomorrow. Got a INSANE deal on Mobile High Mileage. Guess how much...?

A dollar each. I bought 46 and sold 20 back to my dad. If I had more cash I would have bought the entire stock (100+) but it was after a big splurge on camping supplies so I was somewhat broke. These retail for what.. five or six bucks each regularly? Kmart was either phasing these out of their stock or they were updating to a different bottle or something. They have the best prices regardless, I usually get Castrol GTX or Pennzoil at 2.20-2.40 a quart. When they have the 5for deals. Doesn't matter how many you buy. Even though I have 26 quarts of oil, it will probably last me a month tops before I'm back to buying it again. My truck is a rolling biohazard.

Oh, and I got them discounted for working there. Booyah.

Couldn't have come at a worse time either. My next two paychecks are prettymuch spent between my insurance and my car payment. I'm just going to drive around with a ton of bottles of water I guess. 30 miles today, and I'm dry.

I'm borrowing my girlfriends father's car ramps, and I'm going to the bolt man on wednesday so hopefully I can tear into the escort. Once that's back on the road it's sale sign time, regardless of if the jeep gets titled. Bye bye Ranger.. for real.

Unless I come across a sweet deal on a parts truck.

In a month or so. Too much crap to mess with.

Stuff that needs replacing/work-
Engines near shot.
Transmissions near shot.
Filler necks shot.
Beds rusted out.
Frames possibly bent.
Tires are bald.
Brakes need replacing.
Power steering system needs replacing.
Rad needs replacing.
Rear axle needs replacing.

All in all that comes to more money than the truck would be worth after putting it in. I'm proud of it though, being a 900 dollar starter truck. Been through alot of sticky situations and got through them safe, but in the end the moneys better in my pocket than on the lawn.

yea probably better off selling it. for sure this time? haha

Yeah, this time I'm sure. I don't need a truck sitting around all winter that I'm not going to drive or work on in spring. Plus with the new junk law in my town being in effect, either the Ranger or the Jeep has to go.

Project Life Support just flatlined.

Sounds to me like neglect....you need to fix things as they break or go bad or else you will have a heep. Good luck with everything

strip the jeep and sas ranger, put in the I6 and trans and tcase too while your at it haha

So my oil pan rusting out, A4LD screwing up, filler neck gasket going bad, bed rust, power steering busting a hole, and radiator getting a hole are all from neglect? I suppose then your accident would be neglect too. No offense intended, but you should be more careful before throwing the "neglect" word around. That's like saying it's my fault NY uses road salt and that ford threw a bunch of crap under the oil pan, or that it's your fault a deer ran out infront of you.

lol, didnt you have an oil pan to put on it? and filler neck cant be hard to fix, a4ld, rad, power steering is all parts you can get at a junkyard, hell i just threw an perfectly rebuilt a4ld and rad and 2 beds in the dump. you could have that ranger fixed up for a very cheap price
