I know this post is kinda dumb without pics, but I'm gettin ANOTHER ranger today! It's a 89 (my first 2nd gen) ext cab 2.9 manual 2wd. It's got a 4" suspension lift. I need something that I can drive daily. My current DD is a diesel 1-ton and fuel is getting ridiculous! My plan is to make it a reliable daily driver that can handle some high speed offroad and some minor air.

I CAN'T WAIT:icon_hornsup::icon_hornsup::icon_hornsup:

It's Here!

So it's got a 4wd 4" bracket kit on it with 6" coils and a 3" B/L. The frontend doesn't sit quite right. The driver side door handle doesn't work. The bed is partially rotted thru and the exhaust fell off while the guy was driving it to my house. As far as mods go I've been stocking up on stuff for this baby. I got a visor, some rear springs new wheels and tires and I got a idea for a rear prerunner type tube chassis thing.

What do ya think...... worth $200?:headbang:

definetly worth it...I Love the paintjob/wheels!

damn, i woulda gave him 300 for it, ive wanted another ext cab for some time

Do you remember before it was lifted and the CAB ALMOST CAME OFF THE FRAME:shok: I have video of it doing it's best pacman impression.

The more I look at it the less I like the wheels and tires. I'm gonna work on it tonight, basics, oil change check over etc. But in all honesty I'll probobly be changing alot...

damn man, the memories LOL

i used to see it every day on my way to brians just wasting away LOL, so thats where the visor i sold ya is endin up, and prolly the rear springs too huh LOL

Wtf!

I have yet to replace rear springs on ANY ford let alone rbv's That I didn't have to torch out the front spring bolts. Why do they never come out???

END RANT.

Anyway, yeah those springs and visor are goin on this one. I took the bed off so I could replace the broken bolts and realized whoever put the B/L on the cab decided it was ok to level up the bed with longer bolts and about 6-8 washers between the frame and bed. Why not just use the blocks that come in the kit:icon_confused: I put in the used springs I got from mghughes165 and the truck is now about 2" higher in the back. The springs I took out had a negative arch just sitting there empty!

I'm gettin ready to put the bed back on then I'm gonna swap out the wheels and tires put on some little do-dadsand start driving it!

Here is where I need some help. I have to get rid of the front suspension. I think I could salvage the beams, rad. arms and coil buckets and possibly the pitman arm. What kit do you guys recommend for daily driving and airing it out? Lift should be in the neighborhood of 4-6"
