Thats like the deluxe of rangers. It has everything. Except it doesn't have a 2.8, sorry about your luck. That trucks body is like in almost perfect condition. The wheel wheels on the bed are rotted out....yet. As for the huge dent, I'd ignore it for now. What was wrong with the original drive shaft? Does Black Betty have auto lockers on the front, I hate those.
One of the things I didn't like about the later rangers was the flag style mirrors ford put on.
As for the SAS, basicly your going to be doing the samething as me. D30, no CAD, and light wheeling. I think the only major part I need is Cherokee steering linkage but I think my rangers will work so I might have just about everything. One day in the way future I'll be putting an air locker in the front but thats a high dollar upgrade.
When we got my dads truck it had a pinched amp wire and it was also exposed on the inside of the truck plus it was hooked to the positve of the battery terminal but thankfully it had a fuse in it or else we would have had problems.
As for say Chevy, SBC, etc....thats not cussing, saying D***e is cussing and talking about it and Rangers being together is a sin unless its axles!!!
ok to clear things up, id love to ignore the dent, but until its fixed, i cannot register the truck, there for no drivey drivey. the wheel wells rust must also be fixed, as must the box corners. also, i dont want dodge axles either, i just want big tires. but then my truck will be slow and hard on gas so that may be postponed. i may just lift it for cheap and get 33's on it after the safety's done. i just have a hard time putting a locker and brand new brakes and tires under it then ripping them out to put a d30 under it. but yes, it is well equipped, pw,pdl, cruise, tilt, a/c 4x4, MANUAL HUBS little triangle windows, but... those mirrors suck. thats why im getting free big ones like are on my blue 2wd. i was soooo tempted to buy a 1998 dodge 2500 5.9 cummins 4x4, because i have DREAMED about a gen 1 6bt turbo 4x4. (omg i just came) and sheet i just cant afford the 1300 bucks, and the 2 or 3 years it would take to get together. but imagine a 450 horse ranger on 37's getting 40mpg. thats a lifelong vehicle. plus, if i was goin that far i'd buy a exploder and convert to crew cab. what the hell right?
ok as for pics of tonight...
took the u-joints out, wow. huge difference.
also, i got paid today, so i bought enough castrol syntec to make 2 hungry 2-9's happy. only paid 25 bux a gallon for synthetic... mmmm
and i got my hands dirty so that means tonight was a sucess. never even changed any oil sadly, its too dark. and im toooo tired. making cabinets is gruelling work oddly enough. i found framing left me with more energy. prolly cause now im frustrated all day tryin to make everything perfect, whereas framing is "awe its within a quarter...
foot"
haha
yesterday workin on my 4x4 i got a vid of 0-60 with my 2wd 2-9. its weird, every other 2-9 i've owned has nothing on this one... this one is peppy!

ok it was like 12-13 seconds 0-60mph. but my last ranger did 0-60mph in 48 seconds.. i think theres a youtube vid for that one...
