Project black betty(aka money pit)


Its easier to SAS a 2wd then putt TTB on it.....10 times easier. If I were you part out BB or sell her cheap, you got her for free.

i paid 140 bux for it...
and sas is easier if you have a good welder and a correctly geared axle... i have no parts to do an sas, and i have all the parts to ttb 4x4 swap it. plus i dont trust my stick welding abilities to sas. if i had a mig 220 i'd consider it.
but i dont.

and im gonna take what i can off bb soon enough. for now i want this 89 home so i can assess the damages.
 
sold for 250 to my uncle who is goin to be puttin her back on the road. he does body work so its gonna be cheap.
 
So BB is gone. Time to get the 89 finaly.

As for my SAS I'll be ordering a shim kit for the D30 here in the next few days, and going to be shopping around for shocks, might just get the 4 inch lift ones but deciding what brand but going with gas ones. My steering linkage will be shipped out to me soon, friday I'm told, traded stuff for that. I just need to sell off the rest of my 2.3 engine, might bump it up and update pictures on it tomorrow.

Hows old blue holding up after the wheel falling off?
 
un veiled the beast! 428 Cobra jet! freshly rebuilt 9 years ago with top end stuff! worth nearly 10 grand, making over 650 pony's.

hehe ya and it may be for sale. cause the boss had some idiot tell him that the body work my uncle did wasn't up to par. but it was because the car had had someone "try" and fix it but the f'ed everything up. o and about the engine... its not done there's more to be put on it. a lot of money went into that...
i'm no engine builder but i've seen a couple of the engines my dad's put together... and some of them are very fast so i dunno. i was told she'll be somewhere around that mark...

pardon a mois talked to dad that honey is only makin 400 or so. the one i was thinkin about was the numbers matching 1967 gt500 convertible my dad, uncle and boss all had a big part in. dad built engine, uncle repaired body, boss funded, it is now in fords museum in toronto(?)
dunno. ford paid him 100,000 american for it...
which he believes now was not enough they never even asked anythin just serial numbers, then told him to bring it to the train station and there would be a guy there with a certified check. i got to ride to school in it when i was about 8. that thing was amazing

much better! however i think the rear end is getting weak, so maybe it will go from dd to project truck so i can show you all what i have in mind. lets just say it invovles turbo's. hehe. and a LOOT of time money and work. but it wont be done for a long time.
 
I see a 2.3T in the future? As for the rear end put an 8.8 cheapest and easiest plus holds up to anything.

i found some cheap ones. im gonna update after i do some work. i think its gonna take lots of work. if anyone knows what engine that is please keep it to yourself until i've got one and it's in
ps i dunno if the 8.8 would handle the plans i've got... hehe

so my uncles got the truck but still has not givin me my money. gonna have to go knock down some doors soon...
also, im gonna try and dump off the 89 im gettin for free on my cousin who wanted the 88 cause the 89 just needs a tranny. way easier than a safety. plus say i get 250 for that im laughin!!!
