Project 4x4 Commuter Mazda

i just sold some of those coils... $120 shipped. that's what escort used on his d30 sas till he went to xj coils. i bought them from him till i found some free xj coils! lol. so i sold them to that kinghammer or whatever his name is.

How come he switched to XJ coils? were they not soft enough or something?

Lookin good. That thing is cleaning nice. Now go cut it up.:thefinger:

lol

If you still need long arms in a year, I may not all of a sudden remember you :thefinger:

jk jk

MLK weekend must be a mofo. last year, i dropped an 8.8 on my left middle finger, broke it in 2 places and needed 2 stitches for a huge gash.

axle looks nice though, i want one

Well im actually gonna fab my own now as seeing i cant seem to find any for under 300. But i kinda gotta let my body rest I got surgery last Wednesday so i gotta take it easy.

For starters they were 300ppi and a little stiff for my light weight 89 2.3 ranger and gave me somewhere around 5.5 to 7" lift. When I got the 93 I wanted it to have less lift and a better ride for the street. I wanted something closer to 200ppi so I went with the rough country 180ppi xj coils. Those deavers flexed really good offroad. Just ask kroussin.

Now on your ride with the heavy bumper and winch it will probably be just right for you. Have you weighed your truck lately? My 89 was right at 3820lbs.

Not sure what my truck weighs but I'm guessing 4000lbs

So judgmental :thefinger:

Apparently at work we have a machine that is specifically for blowing out weld beads, and will save me considerable time. Instead of grinding (tediously) out the weld on the castment, I can just blow out this weld with a carbon arc machine and maybe have that part done in just an hour or so.

Then throw the whole thing under a abrasive cut off saw and preheat it up, weld the crap out of it with some high nickel rod.

Nextel, DONE lol :headbang: :icon_welder:

Might happen sooner than I had thought it would...

its called an oxy/acet torch :thefinger:

Google carbon arc cutting/gouging an learn yo self! :thefinger: in the commercial/industrial pipe fab world we have faster technology than DIYourselfers with oxygen acetylene set ups :headbang: lol

For the nasty fog that occurs in the valley on the way to school:

They look green but it is actually yellow. Also picked up one in the clear style for rock protection (remember my last lights :annoyed:)

Gonna try and bring some equipment home this weekend to cut on the D44...:icon_welder:

having those different covers are awesome... get all the different colors!

Yea. they have red, pink and blue too...though I can't really see a need for those. The yellow is nice for fog and dust....clear for protection.

I still want to get a pair of D2's to fill in the gaps between the 10" bar and the stand-ups on my bumper. That would be a pretty badass light setup....my 10" for the flood, and the D2's with a driving beam would be a blinding amount of light.

Still waiting on my offset hawse...I think Viking forgot about my order so gonna call tomorrow.

List:
Hook up onboard air, fab mount for air horn
Sliders
D2's
Driveline
Windshield

Aside from the SAS, it is pretty much done :icon_twisted:

513's/538's and ARB for D44 (summer time??? after I narrow it).

what's the need for the other covers? idk... who needs on? how cool would it be to drive up to some folks on a night run w/ a pink LED light bar? :icon_bounceblue: :thefinger:
