Project 4x4 Commuter Mazda

so you wanna start w/ the coils?? i still have them! buy them NOW!! please... lol
since you wont just send me ttb stuff!!!!!! lol

If I were more versed in the SAS arts, and knew they would most likely work, I would.

I'll trade you a compressor and my old Hellas? :icon_twisted:

Nah. Need the cash for ttb stuff. Lol. I'm always open to trades. But they gotta help me out lol. I've got $100 in the coils shipped. So that's what I'm asking. I know I'll lose some money bc of shipping but hey, you win some and you lose some. I just wanna get my axles swapped out.

And now you're making me want a led light bar. But I'll probably never have one unless they go down, ALOT

so what gears are you taking out of the d35?

dang.. why couldn't it be 4.10s? you're useless! lol.
i gotta find some used gears.

I'm not useless, you just have your priorities messed up :icon_twisted: What you don't realize yet is that an on board air setup would be way cooler than a boring regular gear swap :thefinger:

Can't get the right side parking cable to get tight. Left side tightens up great.

Lost some lift height, the RuffStuff ubolts were not long enought to reuse the stock blocks. Net loss is 3/4".

Project 4x4 Commuter Mazda

Mostly done. Just need to bolt the shock mount onto the opposite side of the axle, cut the u bolt threads, take the 4wd fuse out (mismatched gears), put the shock on, throw some more paint on it and then call it done!

I like how you used the bucket on the backhoe. Better safe than sorry.
What shocks see those hour using. They are bilsteins but what kind.

Yeah that is what the upside down drop hitch was for...to catch the fall and to fine tune the height for lifting it up.

They are 5125 Bilsteins valved 255/70, in the 14" travel flavor. They are a bit long...

Swap. Is. Done.

I bled the rear two calipers 3 times, but I couldn't get the pedal to not feel mushy as hell. Tomorrow I will re-bleed them and the fronts as well in hopes of resolving the excessive mushiness. Or is there something else I am forgetting like an ABS controller valve??? Need to drive this Tuesday if I can.

I would build new rear shock mounts higher up on the frame
