srry it took me so long to respond i was watching a movie bro. i did it myself in my friends shop back when i was working there. he does line-x bed liner. its all line-x i also have a hard top tonnoue cover for the bed that is also bed lined. let me look for a pic of it.
they installed an axleshaft kit on xtreme 4x4 a few weeks back that was pretty cool. had new shafts and a c-clip eliminator that turned the axle into a semi-floater. looked pretty sweet, dont recall how much it was though.
if it were me, i'd go grab a set of stockers and see how they held up for me before i went and spent $300 on chrome moly's. you're only running 33's. you can always upgrade later.
True, but I don't really ever wanna have to work on this axle while it sits under my truck. I'd much rather work on it all now before it lives in its new home. Shafts arent that hard to change out though we'll see.
Only bad part about the stuff is that its hard to do touch up, b/c the smallest can you can buy is 1 quart and once you mix the catylest in you only have about 8 hrs to use it before it all goes bad. So you have to have a whole bunch of "places" to touch up, or a small project to ensure that none goes to waste.
Progress:
Pitted, scored shafts:
Semi ok one:
Bad one:
Guess I'll be going to the junkyard this week at some point to get some different shafts, unless some one can convince me to buy these:
you will NEVER break a stock 31 spline shaft with 33's, even with 35's you cant touch it. The wheeling you do, there is absolutely NO need to spend the money on CroMo axles for your purpose. Get a set of stockers and you will be fine.
