Pro Comp Radial Mud Terrain

Anyone have any experience with these? They have buy 3 get 1 free until the 14th, I might pick up a set of 33's for the F150. Looking for mostly something good in light mud (during hunting season), and decent in the winter, mostly deeper snow, I work night shift so roads aren't plowed when I leave and it's usually storming. These look to have some siping, most of the MT's I've looked at don't have any.

Any other tires that are comparable that I can get a set of 33's for around $600? Super Swamper Trxus are $180ish, not too bad. Around here they want $211 each for Firestone MT's.


I'm looking at 4wp for my prices.


EDIT: It looks like that is a different offer that ends on the 14th, the tire deal is going on until the end of September, so that gives me a bit more time.

well ive never actually had a set for myself but i know a couple people who have ran them on their jeeps and i never heard any complaints from them if that helps you at all

I think Evan has a set and likes them.. I've got friend with ProComp Xtreme ATs and they're not too bad either.

I've personally had BFG MTs (The 33x10.50s aren't too spendy) and have a friend with BFG MTs on his jeep with 30K on them and they still have like half tread!

The siping on the PCs would certainly be nice for snow/ice.

I was gonna say, if winter driving is involved I'd take the Pro Comps over the BFG's. Otherwise the treads are pretty similar.

I had a set of pc muds, they were great tires, long wearing and great in mud.
The only problem is they are a little weak in the sidewall, I had to replace one because of a sidewall tear, but it was under warrantee. I would avoid them if you do much rockcrawling, otherwise a pretty good tire

Pro comps are a great tire. I dont rock crawl. Mud ,logs hills in ice snow an i love them for $$ .On street there great too. I mean snow @ ice covered streets. My super swampers were scary on pavment snow @ ice. Snips are good. even on wet grass @ leaves. JMO

i had a set of pro comp 33" x12.5xr15 on xj with 4.5" of lift and i love them i never really had to put the truck into 4wd and when i did it was when i sank the rear axle in sand or sank the front end on the mash or any doubt about how deep the hole was but other wise they never dug the truck in!!!!!!oh swippin only last for a little while because they are not cut the whole depth of the tread!!!!

I have a set of 32" PC MTs that I use primarily for off-road. I have used them in about every off-road situation I can think of including moderate rock climbing. I like them a lot and do recommend them. I have not had them in snow or on ice but I think they would do well in snow, I doubt they would be good on ice.

I have about 12,000 miles on them and they show very little wear. There are some small areas where the rubber has chunked out due when spinning on rock but should have no effect on life of the tire or traction.

I don't use them on the street for daily driving because I don't like the noise nor the vibration a low speeds. I think that would happen with any MT not just PC.

I have 35s on my Exploder, which is Evan's old one. They aren't bad, but I'm not a huge fan. They are a 1250 tire on a 10" rim so I can't air them down with a high fear of blowing a bead. If I could air them down, I think i'd enjoy them much more. I'm coming from running LTBs on my Grand Cherokee - I prefer their stickiness and softness much better for the kinda wheeling I do. And they cleaned out much better IMO. If you can get them for a good price, do it. Otherwise, there may be other alternatives that will work better.
