Yesterday I had my truck jacked up with wheels off ground. With the motor off, I turned the steering wheel and power steering fluid shot out! Is this normal? I couldn't find exactly where it was shooting from. When motor was on it did not do this. Why is this happening?

cause the pump wasn't spinning. i dont know why, but thats how these pumps are....

Yup, completely normal.

the lid probably popped off the fluid resevoir from the pressure in the pump since the truck was turned off...completely normal just make sure the lid is not laying down in your engine compartment lol :icon_rofl:

Yeah I'm not gonna do that any more I'll just start the damn thing next time I get bored and feel like jacking my truck up and turning the wheels!
