Alright so i bought this for 700 a couple a months ago an the problems just gotten worse an 2 of my friends who own/work on these rangers keep telling me different things.
1st. when in 2wd a really loud grinding noise comes from the front passenger side hub. the shaft that goes to that tire is loose you can get under the car an pull it back in forth about 1/2 an in either way. put it in 4wd it goes away.
2nd. when in 4wd and turn it pops the harder I turn the more it pops. was told its u joint binding up by one friend an had another tear it apart an look at it an he said he dont know but the end of the shaft that comes through the tire you can grab it an swivel it around from it being loose
Need help quickly any ideas?

Yes you've got a bad outer ujoint. I just went through this. You need to pull it apart and take a look anyway, and I'd bet the spline washers and the c-clip is gone from that side. Driver's side shaft will pull right out of the differential. Passenger side will not.
