PlumCrazy's Build

A hydro driven air compressor? Interesting.

"Interesting" is his middle name.

I wish I had half the time you do to work on this stuff...

This guy doesn't sleep. That is how he pulls this stuff off lol
He even has had a GF for several years lol. That part impresses me.

Edit: Dont forget, I got dibs on the current setup.

I spent all my time yesterday try to do the damn brakes on my gf's Grand Vitara. Seized caliper brackets brought that to a halt. I didn't have the correct parts, a torch, or a decent impact wrench and braking the bolt was certainly not going to solve the problem... And its only an 07 with 50k on the clock....

Ya, that is impressive. Since my garage is under the bedroom, that severely limits anything I can do at night.

I get done with everything I need to do for the day and then say "I am going to go hook up the oil pressure gauge in the Ranger... eh maybe later. I'm tired..." :icon_rofl:

HAHA. I am the same way. "I really should just finish this up.... or not"

Lack of sleep is key....

Also keep in mind I mentioned the hydro OBA in this thread over a year ago.lol most of my ideas take a year to actually materialize.

Like my doved bed, my boosted OHV, my OBA.....I always keep a few projects on the back burner, so I always have something to tinker with when Im broke or waiting for parts.

I am looking at the possibility of some major career changes that will result in moving a few hours south. I will be closer to my hometown and the new shop at the farm, but further from my 4x4 friends, resources, and wheelin parks,.....but Ill will nearly triple my salary. It will be a bittersweet change. Ill have more dough to play with, but what little social life I have left will be gone. I will still have my GF, and I couldn't ask for a better one. She supports my hobby/lifestyle even if it means that I dump all my money, time, resources into a beat up POS truck. If it makes me happy, she will support it and not try to change me to better suit her. I try to do the same for her.

Nice OBA setup or the B2 wish I would have had the room for it. Glad its finally getting installed on something after sitting for so long.

Now that is a good Girlfriend, most women change after that gold ring gets placed on their finger.

My Wife is still trying to change me after 24 years of marriage.

also, take lots of pictures of the pump set up, I might think of trying something for the aircon on my truck to save gas.

As for lack of sleep being key I leave the house at 3am and get home at 9pm... Can't give up any sleep lol. Wish I could work on my junk but the take just isn't there..

Hydraulically powered AC will not gain you any MPGs the energy lost in heat and leakage will probably cost you more than you gain...

You must have quite the collection of broken 44 shafts by now. I remember my d44 days it went about the same way as yours lol.
