:shok:

Your 4 wheeling trips get awful expensive and time consuming :icon_rofl: I thought Nick had a lead foot, but I'd have to say your right up there with him :icon_thumby:

Awe come on now. I've only had to winch myself onto the trailer twice this year lol. I have 5 successful wheeling trips in this year without breakage. :thefinger:

I was thinking back to the 79 F250 in your younger years. Haven't you broken every mechanical piece on it except the NP205???

I drive mine there and back everytime.

80 miles there, 55-60 miles in 4 low, and 80 miles home.

Its not the lead foot so much as the gear reduction and the weight of my locomotive.

BTW. Are you planning on going to the Wellsville run Nick?

I did conquer that little climb you tried where the buggy grenaded that drive shaft yoke it SOR.

That I can understand. That's how my Ranger will eventually be wheeled until the day I buy a trailer. I just have to find the time.

Started on my new cross member last night.

This one will go over the front drive shaft unlike my last one that hung down under.

Its all one piece and will tuck up out of the way nicely.

i will have to redesign my skid plate and doubler mount cross member as well from the looks of it.

I got dizzy from looking at all the angles

Yes I have. but that wasn't just from wheeling. I only ever broke the old 44 front when wheeling. Everything else was because I did and still do burnouts with a 6,000lb truck on 38s :D

I would like to. But I'm not sure what my job status will be then. I have a couple applications out for new jobs and if I get one I probably shouldn't be taking off to go wheeling right after I started. But who knows lol

Got my next set of shafts together with new joints, snap rings, and then welded up

Cross member is in. Now I have to redesign my skid plate mount. I pushed everything up .75" as well to tuck the cases up a hair so my rear case mount/crossmember will need redone as well.

Hopefully I can get some work done on the skid plate situation this weekend. I have to get my car back together first though...

The tranny input bearing was growling, I said f it and drove it for 20k that way...then it ate the seal, soaked the clutch in oil and now it slips...

So I tore down the trans only to find that the parts store gave me the wrong bearing and I can't get right one until today (I tore it down Friday)

I also finally replaced the cracked to hell exhaust mani, and added a few mounts to the down pipe since the PO decided they were uneeded (which caused cracks in mani)

Also decided to do a timing belt job since the motor is around 200k and had the original. Good thing I did it...the belt was loose as hell and had hopped 4 teeth on the cam..

While it was sitting in pieces I figured I might as well replace the junk ass ebay core support that never fit worth a damn with an OEM Honda core I picked up a while back.

I still need to get a set of fenders, hood, lights, and bumper cover to get the car back where I want it, but at least my body lines are right, and my lights are aimed at the road again.lol Its just my beater DD, so Im not going out of my way to find body panels.lol once I get the front clip replaced...Ill slam it.lol

Free time....I am taking an unpaid half day off work today to fix my car.lol

My only motivation to get my cross member in at midnight on Sunday was because I have to drive the the truck to work for two days. (50+ miles a day) and the old on was so bent that the rear case was off the mount. I didn't want to drive it like that and lose another tranny extension housing. lol

Swapped out all my broken, egged, and twisted shafts this weekend.

I pulled had one stub that had a super stretched/egged ear, so I figured I might as well keep it for a spare since it wasnt broken completely.lol

I am ordering chromos after I pop these. Im tired of changing shafts.lol

Working on OBA for the B2 as well.
IMG_20130920_164526_233_zps1b8d77f4.jpg

Also built a hybrid trans for the B2.

I finally tracked down my wiper issue. The wipers would some times just quit. I could feel both relays clicking, but no wipey. I pulled apart the relays and found that one had burnt/dirty contacts. So new relay and good to go right...? Nope. They quit working a few hours later.lol Turns out the receptacle in the fuse box had a broken clip allowing the socket to push out when the relay was installed. I found a broken clip on the ECM power relay too...I bumped the relay and the truck almost died.lol

So I got all that fixed up with pieces from an old Expo box we had left from the B2s 4.0 donor. Decided to fill up my washer bottle only to find this..
IMG_20130920_172821_560_zps6898562d.jpg

When my shock mount sheared off it punched a hole in my washer bottle...

I had an extra from the Expo as well.lol It even has a level sensor since it was from an EB.

Swapped out my broken corners for some new ones. Good ole $20 Ebay specials.

I need to get my new skid plate designed and built before the Wellsville run. Id like to get some camber adjusters for my 44..It appears that I may have tweaked an innr C since I have some positive camber on that wheel.lol

I picked a up a free hydraulic gear motor to play with too. I am putting together a hydraulically poewered OBA setup since I have no room on my accessory drive for the compressor.
IMG_20130918_123138_822_zpsd5c5f7c8.jpg

I threw it on a test stand at work and ran a curve with the data acquisition system of Flow vs RPM. I went from 0-3gpm and the speed was proportional from 0-1300 ish.

Which should be perfect for a Saginaw to drive. According to my calculations, the motor is around .5ci/rev. So its almost 1:1 with the pump. I picked up a 12v switching valve and base plate too. Now I just need to rig it all up for a real life test.
