PlumCrazy's Build

so how bout some new flex shots that youve got the RA mounts reworked?

I will soon, but I still need some softer coils. The ones I have are stiff even with a 4.0 supercab sitting on em.

I picked up some new fog light bulbs, because one of my 20 dollar SilverStar bulbs burnt out.:annoyed:

I had some 27w SilverStar Ultras, but I found out that I can pop a 7 dollar 50w bulb into the housing:icon_twisted:.

Here is a comparison (20 dollar SS on left, 7 dollar 50w on right)

I will have to keep an eye on the fog light housing to see if they melt, but even if they do its no big loss because they are just some Dodge Neon fog lights I snagged at the JY for like 2 bucks. (Thats right I have a Ford with Chevy springs and Dodge lights:thefinger:)

Next step is putting LEDs in them.

That is pretty awesome what you did to your Ranger!

You've got some skills my friend. The mods on that truck are just sick...:icon_thumby: That totally makes me wanna jack up mine, but only have a 2wd :annoyed: Well one of these days i can get three like you hehe... Awesome dude just awesome job.:icon_hornsup:

I only have two for now, the third is my GF's, but we all know who does the work on it.lol

I decided to get the indicator lights working. Since I finally got the shifter/console interference all figured out.

The switch on the t case just grounds out either the 4 low wire of the 4 high wire.

I looked at the 4x4 system wiring diagram and found out the blue/black wire going into the GEM (located just to the left of the radio) is the 4 lo indicator light ground, and the solid gray is the 4 hi ground. (there are two gray wires going into the GEM, its the lower one on the plug.)

So all I had to do was connect the two wires from the tcase to the two indicator light ground wires coming from the cluster.

This was a lot harder to find than I thought. Exploders have the rear wiper switch, and there are not very many 95+ 2wd Rangers in the JY.

Okay, I finally got a day off work and made my D35 skid plate. Its all 1/4" plate and protects the entire diff and yoke.

I used cardboard to for a pattern. It took a while to turn the cardboard into 1/4" steel, but it turned out pretty good.

It uses a 3/8" 3.5" muffler clamp around the pinion bearing and I boxed in the clamp's saddle, and then it uses the 5 lower bolts from the diff.

this truck is sweeet, i wish i didnt have to work on soo many other things i need to build a skid plate like that

that skid plate is badass

Thanks. I am going to make a cover for the rear with 1/4" plat as well, but I dont want to mess with now becaue I just filled it up full synthetic less than 4000 miles ago. That sh*t is to expensive to waste.lol I want to rebuild the L/S soon with new clutches and squeeze em a little tighter:icon_twisted:, so I will probably make one then.:icon_welder:

your welcome , and i am ordering one of the ruffstuff covers for my DD , i just re-did the rear ( put in a LS case i had laying at the house ) and the poly cover i put on has a hairline crack and is weeping just a little , what makes me mad is i just put all new fluid and LS additive in it ( only 1700 Miles )

and how much would one of them skid plates cost , made , painted to matchmy truck , and shipped
