PlumCrazy's Build

Just noticed that I was nominated for OTOTM. Schweet.

B.C. Broncos. 6.5" w/winch EB coils.

The rates are not listed, I had to email them to find out. I still think they are a tad stiffer than 230. The "with winch" option adds an extra wrap to compensate for the extra weight.

BTW. Good luck with TOTM, there have been a lot it good noms the last couple months including yours.

Thanks dude, I appreciate it! Been a slow build, but it's finally coming together.

As for the coils, I think I may go with those. Im only looking for 4" of suspension lift as I already have a BL, so I'll look and see what they offer. Thanks again.

First time dealing with Ballistic, probably the last.

They garuntee 48 hour shipping or your money back.

4 days after placing my order Monday morning, I called to ask for a tracking number or atleast an update. She said I should get it by Friday, so I asked about the money back for shipping they advertised. I was told that by 48 hour shipping they mean that they would have it processed in 48 hours, not actually delivered.

Maybe its just me, but 48 shipping means two day shipping. I guess I misunderstand their logic.

5 days to receive my order is faster than most places, and I would have been ok with that. It just pisses me off that they don't follow through with their ad.

1.25" Bungs for rad arms.

not trying to defend ballistic, but check the main page on the website again. at the very bottom it says "your order will leave within 48 hours, actual shipping times may vary". it got me at first as well.

i also used those bungs on my long arms, they're very stout. i just had to grind them down to get them to fit. ballistic was the only place i found that sold them for box tube.

You're right, I didnt see that before. I've always had my parts w/in 2 days of ordering tho. My joints were supposedly backordered.

I have used them many times. They have been good for me, but I have only ordered small stuff. It seems like they are hit and miss though. I know many of the Pirate guys dont like them.

I am getting ready to build new arms as well

Finally replaced my windshield in the Green Bean since it was cracked when I bought it.

So I threw a TRS banner on it.

I keep seeing the hit and miss stuff, but I keep hearing only positive about ruffstuff. I'm about to be ordering my heims and bungs and such. Interesting about the box bungs, I might keep that in mind actually.

I love Ruff Stuff. I have talked with Dan personally and he was down to earth and easy to deal with, but he doesn't offer square tube adaptors or rebuildable joints.

On your bumps stop setup, is that just attached to the rear t case and rests on a tab on a rear crossmember?

Other way around.lol But yeah its only connected to the cross member, the tcase mount just sits on top. That way under heavy load I am not stressing the ext housing.

Ok that makes sense when I look at the picture now. Did you use the same tranny crossmember as when you had ttb just modified for the new driveline length? I still have your extended arm setup and when I sas and put my doubler in I want to use the crossmember still jus mod it.

I modified my current trans cross member to clear the front shaft. I made it step down and back 2".

The rear cross member was not used for anything before the doubler except as a replacement for the stock cross member that had the carrier bearing.
