Plug tools

I just threw up.

It's everywhere.... like splashed onto things. Its gross. @Uncle Gump call me out of work tomorrow, you if anyone can tell the government to screw off. Oh god so much puke... its all yellow mucas?

I started using the fancy plug/patches on my ATV tires. It’s easy to rip a plug out offroad. It’s not so easy to rip a plug/patch out.

Sandra brown is dunno if she 0-10. Dunno if she's 6am 4m 44m

I have a Victor patch kit that I bought like 4/5 years ago. Used one plug and I think either the reemer or the handle for the other thing came apart while I was using it and had to use pliers to finish it.

Only tire I ever plugged, never had an issue with it, and I still have the tire on the road.

I still have my 40year old kit with newer plug strips, lol

Sorry, I haven't got a new one in awhile so can't recommend a good replacement

I got a flat in my Ranger in a parking lot and there was a tire store in the same lot, I had the kit with me, always do, but rolled the tire over to the shop so they could patch it
They said NO...........hole was within one inch of the edge of the tire, so they were not allow to repair it
I said "now that sounds pretty silly to me"
He said "well maybe you don't understand how tires work"
I said "well then that makes two of us"

So I patched it myself, but he did let me use his air compressor to fill it up.................no charge, lol

I'm not doing that...

You should ask @RonD he can get you out of anything

This is the kit we used at the overlanding competition back in September. Seemed to be a good kit. Easy to use. I saw it get used about 14 times over 2 days.

See this is helpful... On the insertion tool, does that little slidey thing matter?

The slidey thing is depth control... so you don't push the plug all the way through.

Word of caution... the slidey thing will pinch your fingers if you aren't careful. I just take it off and use care not to push the plug through.

The trucks have plug kits and an air compressor. Something to get me home and evaluate from there. Depending on the situation, I may plug the tire and then swap it for the spare.

I do need to get better kits though. Mine are the auto parts store variety, which means they might have only one use in them before they break.

Plug is last ditch for me. I will stick the spare on before I plug a tire.

Unless it is the lawn mower, it gets plugged.

The lawn mower gets green slime the first time a tire goes flat, then you never have to deal with it again.

Tried it once, then it just oozed out slime and was a PITA to patch.
