Please help! Wheel bearing problem.

Hello everyone! I was recently replacing my front brakes on my 03 Edge (with a haynes manual) and I had no problems getting the rotor and caliper off, but sure enough I couldnt figure out how to get the Inner grease seal out of the old rotor of for the life of me! The haynes manual says just pry it out with a screwdriver, but that didnt work. The new rotors I have DON'T have the bearings in them so I need to remove them from the old rotors. I can't get the inner wheel bearing out because of the grease seal! Somebody, PLEASE HELP ME OUT! Thanks so much for any tips or advice!

why not put new bearings in it? they are cheap

just pry out the seals. they pop out. you shouldn't reuse the seals anyway so don't worry about damaging them.

Buy new bearings and a couple of seals. It's never a great idea to place a used bearing into a new race. It'll work sometimes, but once the bearing wears into the race? Consider 'em "Mated".
