I am in the final stages of my D35 swap. I have tried 2 different pivot bushings (Moog and Energy Suspension). The ES bushing was so loose I could push it in with my fingers. I ordered some Moog bushings and it was a little tighter, but all I had to do was smack it with a deadblow a few times and it was in flush. With this be tight enough? I am hoping when I get the truck back on its weight and I tighten the pivot bolt in the bracket to torque specs that it will tighten up. My fear is that the beam will move back and forth on the metal portion of the bushing. Need someone to share TTB axle nerd experience with these.

As usual, I bow down to the Ford gods on this forum that always save my arse.

Something like this might work. Seems Locktite makes something for when your bore has become too big. Says it is good to fill 0.01.

I think you're probably fine without any locktite but it can't hurt. I have had some of those really fight me and often I have to grind a beveled edge into the outer metal sleeve just to get it started... Then beat it in with a sledge hammer. I threw away a set of brand new ones once because they were just never going to fit... Too big. Seems to be some manufacturing differences in brands with these things.

Stake it.

That Locktite Retaining compound did the trick. It is insane how well that stuff holds.

We used to call that bearing mount.
Use it for worn spindles and carriers with dimple punching...

There is a flare tool and method for proper pivot bushing install. I used to use a socket and my balljoint press to cup the end over....but now I just usually stake it in a few spots
