How does that shrouded fan setup work for u? I read that shrouding it will overheat if your riding on the turnpike.have any issues with over heating at all?
Walt has never had an overheating issue with anything. Not even that one time he drove a Chevy.

Any idea what he's running for an electric fan or make of his setup?

Where the heak did you hear that? Pretty much everything ever made uses a fan shroud. :icon_confused:

I meant the fully enclosed shroud.not the little plastic piece on top of factory ford ranger radiators.i saw it on YouTube from a summit racing rep.and a few other radiator companies as well

I don't see alot of V8 rangers have shrouds do u?

The fan shroud can be beneficial if the spacing is correct. If the fan is too deep or too shallow in the opening of the shroud, it can actually hurt instead of help cooling. Since the spacing is so critical, those who installed V-8s tend to not install the shroud because they can't get the proper spacing.

How the truck is equipped changes what the factory puts in. Trucks without A/C tend to have a minimal shroud, at least from what I've seen. Those with A/C tend to have a full shroud because more cooling is needed to compensate for the additional heat generated by the A/C unit.

Thank u for the assist.
