Want to see the setup with factory AC on a carbed 2.3L. Specifically looking at the compressor mount and the belt routing. I have an '83, but figure its the same until they were EFI.

Hmm. Want some hens teeth pictures also? Should be about as available.

I would try to find a shop manual for that vintage if you can't get a good response. There may be images of the routing, etc in the manual.
Or, see if you can get the sketch that was on the underhood tags. Usually there were belt, vacuum, and tune-up information available.
If you went to a part store and were able to search for belts, you would find out whether the Mustang and T-bird had similar belts specified as the Ranger.

Are you looking for hard parts to make one work or belt specs to replace some?

Ive found 2.3s with AC on line. Just not a good enough pic to see what I need to see. I'm going to add AC with an under dash unit. Everything about the build is to look old. But I need to come up with a bracket for the compressor and Ford changed the position over the years. So I want to decide what will work best with my setup. Truck does not have PS either, which is staying that way. I have some factory manual with my business, but still have not seen what I need to see.

I added 'embedded' looking A/C to my 85 some years ago. I got the whole thing from AAPAK, but they may have changed their name since. The compressor mounted on the passenger side, down low. Mine had a serpentine belt the matched the second(front) pulley on the Lima perfectly. It came with the bracket.
Perhaps you could talk to Warren if he's still around. I think you may get better/more informed answers at Ford-trucks or the A/C boards.

I was a regular at the two forums, but not for a while.

Thanks. I had two Rangers with FI that had the 2.3 and AC. Both had a separate belt for the compressor. I didn't think the
'83 looks like it would have that, but was trying to get clarification.
