hey, thanks for the ebay link! looks like it might be a while before I can get a set so hopefully they'll have more. I cant get over how good this front end looks! really makes me wish I had a street truck, maybe in the future.

So, in that youtube vid of you burning through all the gears, did you give yourself a ticket?

Kidding. That thing hauls, man!!! It's gotta be the cam that's getting all the power out of her. My cam is from an F-150, so seeing that vid has made me upgrade the the V8 ranger majorly in the spring.

I'm using a serpentine from an 89 mustang. The power steering pump is mounted with the A/C delete brackets which raise it up so it's not sitting on the gearbox.

I love driving it. I make excuses to run to the parts store just to cruise it thru town. The exhaust note attracts alot of attention. Driving by a gas station when someone's gasing up a camaro and stepping into the throttle just to make them look.....love it! LOL

There were alot of comments about that plate at the car show I went to since all the cops (sheriff included) were hanging around my truck. Didn't take long for everyone to make the connection.

No, didn't you read the italicized print? I closed the road....haha.
The cam is cool. My last ranger had a non-roller block so the cam was kinda lame-smooth idle and all. This cam is about all I could do in this engine because I'm using E7 heads on an 86 block that has the flat top pistons. The piston to valve clearence is tight. Many said it would crash valves and a few said it should be ok. Without cutting eyebrows in the pistons for valve reliefs I can't put a bigger cam in it.

When I put the engine together I had no idea of the PTV issue. I just used stuff that I already had. I'm glad it worked out tho.

Man, I wish my 92 looked and moved like that. I just keep replacing hangars and cab mounts. Mine is an old junker work truck. Those "noisy" timing gears sound awesome and that is a very nice truck. You should be proud. You will probably be getting a lot more 1st places. The hood looks good too.

I would ditch that air cleaner. It looks like crap IMO. Go with a Ford Motorsport round cleaner with a K&N filter.

Yeah, that's an issue that's gone back and fourth. I'm gunna use it for now as I still need to buy tires for the truck. When I'm done buying stuff that I need, then I'll try out some other options. I have plans on upgrading the ignition and stuff. Nitrous is also a future possibility...

Gorgeous truck! I would run the air cleaner if you do a ram air setup. Maybe do some simple, clean pin stripping on it to dress it up a bit, otherwise something a little racier looking that matches the valve covers would look better. The cleaner you have on their now turned out great though!!

looks amazing. i agree do something with the air cleaner. also, not a huge fan of the front valance setup but 2 each his own. good work keep us updated!

I normally dont like lowerd trucks. I think they are a waste....mostly cause the guys dont take the time to lower them properly, or 1/2 ass everything about it.

But This one is bad ass!!!

And for the plate, you should have went with "Lo Ho"!!!
