blew up the diff and T case in my dads truck. thank god the gears look to be OK, theyre yukon gears with chromoly shafts, friggin expensive. gotta get a new t case and i think we have a new 3rd member in the shed.

I've got an extra BW 1356 down here thats been rebuilt. Tried doing a PM but your mailbox is full!

the front of the 3rd, you can see the leafs in the top right corner

That's the front of a Ford 9" rear axle. You can tell by the fins cast into the housing just above the break. Also, the ridiculously low pinion design.

(I did the same thing to my dads Jeep Wagoneer with full time four wheel drive when I was in HS in 1980. Cost him $1200 to put it back together. He was still pissed at me till sometime last year.)

he took it surprisingly well, the only real comment he made was "shit happens, especially with you" and also "it was the only original piece to the drivetrain and you broke it, good job!" lol :D
