my 07 has ABS, and believe me, every time i would drive in the winter in it last year, it was a pain in the ass to stop, even the lightest tap on the pedal was making the ABS go off, and in general my 07 is terrible in the winter to stop.

My 96 has ABS, it doesn't work however, the ABS light isnt on and the front tires just lock up solid, i don't really care for it to much anyways.

the 96 probably has RABS, only the rear are "anti lock" and it never worked well (slow, unreliable).

I hate ABS. It is just another example of your car having to think for you. I know the Abs on my ranger sucks offroad, it has almost made me have accidents several times. The only time it is worth a damn is on ice. I like my wheels to be able to lock up because it never snows here.

same here, i drove the ex's brand new cobalt in the snow...that thing was the worst, stopping was impossible, and turning while tryin to stop, forget about it
