one of the other benefits of full cut is it allows easy bow and extending/pulling of the fenders/bedsides as well, a lil easier to see that here in this pic...
with oem axles and sane backspacing it tucks tame 35's pretty nicely.
theres no nice tucking of 44's with fullwidth 1 tons though
its defiantly a bit involved but if a truck has some rust growing around the wells the nibbler/shear tools have really come down in price...and basic sheet metel forming tools and common sense relief cuts with some panel additions the door line make them real strong.
this has some perspective with 33's and oem type axles
this allows some idea of the lip fold and form on the drivers fender
side view with mud extensions
sorry i dont have any good pics
this is how it drives down the road today
these pics span about 7 years....and yes it is a little lower currently then in the ttb pics. with ttb, 38's were about it for tire. with my current setup the 44's fit fine but it rides rougher and has less articulation. as the truck moves into its next iteration, ttb may be comming back!!!! and even if it dont it will have to go up four inches and require even more fender removal to cover the planned mods and will barely fit 42's due to articulation and ride quality goals....
so yeah, i am a big fan of sheetmetel removal

it works
