I want the Ranger to live on as much as anyone but the T6 in it's current configuration will not pass US safety tests. To sell it in the US and probably Canada would mean drastic changes to the structure of the passenger area. Ford would not spend that kind of money if there isn't a big enough call for this truck.
I'm a realist and hate to say it but Ford built the T6 TOO BIG! I like my Ranger the size it is. It fits my garage just fine and I can haul anything that I need for my home. Since it's a 5/8ths F150 cut it back to 1/2 an F150 and you'd probably sell the crap out of it.

The news of the Ranger leaving us first showed up in '08', should of started a petition then. Sad but fact, we are not going to stop it. Think it's been posted on every RBV based site several times, here at least four times. Just not going to happen unless it does get imported and meets EPA and all the safety rules.

doesnt it really hurt to take 30 seconds and just sign it, and POSSIBLY have the chance to see the ranger live on. Or lets all be negative and see the ranger die.
i personally love the new t6 designs. and the over seas power plants are phenomenal. I would really like to see a growing market for smaller turbo DI diesel engines. as it has terrific performance and better on emissions.
I however do NOT like the new f-150s. They are way too large. I just dont see a need for a 5000lbs 4 door truck when i only do occasional hauling and rare towing. but am always needing to take people around with me.

The T6 is almost the same size as a F-150, which is why it is not coming here.

So if you want a 9/10ths scale F-Series, why not get a Sport Trac? Then you can have your 4.0 SOHC Cologne or V8 power as well.

I got to say something and everyone needs to take it easy...
I'm not signing this petition, I don't much care for the looks of this T6 Ranger. Sometimes, death is better. More so, money talks, bull**** walks. Let the market freely fluctuate as it will. If there is a demand for the Ranger in your area, availability will come back. If not, you can buy used or possibly import another new or used Ranger. I did sign another petition for another Ranger, but I was hesitant to. I've come to the conclusion that its just not the time (for me anyways) to protest the lack of a Ranger being sold in the USA.

Agreed.
Simply put... there is a snowman's chance in hell of the ranger coming back...
Why buy a 4.0 ranger when a half ton pickup will get the same mileage, if not better?

We could all buy F-150's and put a Ranger decal on it...but I just don't like a vehicle with an "F" in the name...reminds me too much of school...
