What are the symptoms of a PCV valve going bad? Could this cause a rough idle? Also, where is the PCV valve located? Can I clean this one or should I just buy a new one and be done with it? IIRC, they're relatively cheap ($10-$12)? FYI, I don't know that it has ever been replaced in the 134000 miles that are on the truck.:icon_surprised: I don't know if the PO has ever had that done. Thanks for the help!

possibly if its fouled, just remove and replace, its on the rear of the drivers side cylinder head. just pull it out, pull off the lines of the old one and replace them on the new one and pop it back in. ~15 mins start to finish. another thing to check tho is spark plug condition and ignition system components, as well as air filter quality and new fuel filter. hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. It has new plugs and wires on it. It runs great, just a little bit of a rough idle every now and then, not awful. I figured this would be an easy and cheap place to start.
