Hi all,
Today, I pulled down my passenger side sun visor and to my surprise, the glass mirror and rectangle plastic frame, fell to the floor on my 2003 XLT.

The glass did not break, thankfully.

So how do I re-attach the mirror and frame to the cloth visor??

I do not see any fastening devices.

If you need pics of what I'm talking about, just say so and I'll take a few pics to post here.

Thanks everyone.

Good quality double sided tape?

Some strong spray adhesive to the back of the mirror, let it sit for a minute before you stick it though.

This is what I used. Some 3M Super 77 spray adhesive.

First, I put a silicone bead around the perimeter (backside) of the mirror to adhere the glass mirror to the thin, plastic mirror frame from the bottom side. Let it dry overnight.

The next day, I remove the 3 Philips head screws from the visor mount and removed the sun visor on the passenger side.

I masked off (taped off) the former imprinted area where the mirror and frame had indented into the visors padded fabric and sprayed a coat of Spray Adhesive onto this rectangular area of the fabric.

Next I sprayed a coat of adhesive onto the back of the mirror and frame. Let both surfaces (mirror and fabric on visor) dry to get tacky for about 5 minutes and carefully placed the mirror and frame assembly onto the sun visor fabric.

I then placed a little weight from a boxed socket set onto the mirror to press it into the padded fabric of the visor and let it dry for about 3 hours on my workbench.

Reinstalled the visor into the truck with the 3 Philips head screws and all is well now. I don't think this mirror will ever fall off again (fingers crossed).

A very easy fix that required ZERO cost because I had an old can of adhesive and some masking tape on the shelf in my garage :)
