Hello all. Hoping someone can help me out here. Been replacing all components of the clutch system in my 96 2.3l 2wd. After I had dropped the transmission, while putting my tools up and cleaning up for the night (I live in an apt and I'm doing this in the parking lot) I found what looks to possibly be a seal under the truck amongst my things. I don't remember having taken one off and there is no part number on it. It's cracked and looks like it may have broken off of another part? Not knowing 100% if it even came off of my truck I put it aside figuring I would be able to find it's origin later. Well, after having to wait almost a week for a new flywheel to get here, I'm finally getting ready to put it all back together and I remembered that I had this part and still no clue where it came from. IF it's from my truck it definitely needs to be replaced. I'm down to putting in the new master cylinder and then ready to put trans back in.
Also, with my replacement set (pressure plate, clutch disc, pilot, slave cyl/release and pre bled master w/lines) there's a bag of 5 O-rings and a tiny roll pin. 3 of those O-rings look to be the same size/style, and then the other 2 match each other.
I assume it's for the master cylinder replacement but can't figure out where they go. I think the set of 2 maybe go on the rod with the clutch pedal position sensor somehow? The one I removed didn't have any random o rings come off it, it was half plastic half metal for that rod and my replacement is all metal though.
Any guesses would be great and solid answers are even better! Thanks in advance!
