Hello Fellow Members,

I'm Thinking of RePainting My Ranger from Charcoal Gray To A Dark Blue & Take off My Front & Back Visor to have the Ranger back to somewhat stock looking & Lower the FrontEnd 1 inch & leave the back alone. All Thought is welcome by all. You can view My Ranger Pictures by going to my profile or by going to the photo section of street rangers where all can see the Ranger & the Engine Pictures & See how high the FrontEnd is.

Thanks,

Jimmy3970

any color would look cool on it, either gray or blue
as for removing the visors i would deff recomend it it would give a cleaner look
and +1 on lowering the front end.
dark blue with those rims would deff look nice

Thanks Ranger Sport Honduras,

Thanks for your thought on painting or not painting the Ranger different color.
If I do paint the Ranger next yr or the following yr. I will take off both visors. I'm will also lower the Ranger 1inch. Just don't know which way. The guy who did my v8 & tranny swap & also did the lift kit on the truck put the new blocks on top of the old stock Rubber piece. Trying to figure out to take the top new piece off or take both off & take the old stock on off & then put the new lift blocks back on & see if it is close to my tires so they wont rub & have room to turn. I'm keeping the back alone. The back looks fine it's the front is too high.
Thanks again.

My truck color was "Offroad gray" is what the kid I bought it off of said. LOVE the color, next one I'm buying im painting the same color.

Why is the front end so high any how? Putting in a V-8 should of lowered it.

Yes the visors are the not so good part about the truck never looked good... well one or the other looks fine I think... but yeah...

A really deep dark metallic blue would look good especially if you had a bit of pearlesent white.:icon_thumby:

As for the lift I assume your talking about the body lift... if you remove the front blocks the lines won't match up with your rear and your front. if you remove the factory rubber bushings your going to have REALLY rough ride. If you do do it however I recommend replacing the mounts with new polyester ones and stuff.

i know most on here don't care for the visors much at all.

however, for those of us with photo-sensitivity or real photo-phobia that causes near blindness in sunlight or bright light conditions, they can be a real help. anything that shades my eyes from sunlight is a help. most of the factory top of the windshield tint is not nearly enough. the stick-on decals for the top of the windshield can help some depending on the style and color.

believe me, if it were legal to dark tint the whole front windshield, i wouldn't be installing a visor this spring.

Well visors look cool and I think his could look cool but with one or the other. both of them together on any truck just makes it look like the person picked up an LMC or something and ordered all of the little things they could. seperate they look cool, but I have seen burbs and stuff with the rear spoilers, visor, hood scoops, grille inserts, loovers for windows, bug shields, window shields, cheezy body kits, ect ect... all on one vehicle... not good

they look like a motorized catalog lol
dark metallic blue would be awesome!
my brohers 00 ranger has that color,m looks dark blue on shade, but with light it has a cool greenish reflection

Original_Ranger84,

Well It was reckonmended to me to raise the body up cuz I had lowered it yrs ago & when I did the engine & tranny swap wanted to make sure I had enough clearence for the weight of the engine & for my aircleaner had enough
clearence too. So I did a 3inch body lift kit on the truck. The guy who did my truck left the top rubber bushing & add the two new plastic one's so now i think he raised it 4inches insted of 3inches. Can I just take one of the new plastic pieces off to just lower the front by one 1 inch or can I take the new ones off & take the old rubber bushing & put back on the two new ones so the front be 3 inches the height I wanted to have in the first place. What do you think I should do.

Well seing as your body lines match up as they are right now the problem isn't the body lift or bushings, its something with the suspension. either the back got lowered like a axle over spring swap or the front springs probably got replaced with 4x4 or some heavier springs. Also you may have gotten a 4x4 cross member which I am not sure if that lifts it or not...

EDIT: looked at your pictures and the body lines up so it has to be suspension related.

No I didn't do a suspension deal at all. I did a 3" body lift on the Ranger. All Suspension parts are all Orig on the Truck. I still have My Lower I beams still on the Truck does make a difference when I put on the lift kit to raise it higher.
