Over heating ???

Well it has been a while, but still having issues.... I have a new thought

correct me if I am wrong but looking at the front of the a ranger the crank turns clock wise? That would mean that the water pump also turns clock wise.

I looked at the old pump that came off the motor and it appears to turn counter clock wise??? in other words in order for fins to grab water at it turns it muct turn CCW...

Could I have a van motor instead of a Ranger??? (it was a Junk Yard Motor)

Thanks for the Help

Ok an earlier post said that the engine turns CW looking at the front, Is this correct and what years....all the Water pumps that I can find say they turn counter cloclwise.... I need help

Look at the routing of the belt! When the belting system went to a one-belt system the coolant pump changed directions!! It is streemly obvious in the mopar 242 engine.. In the blink of an eye the belt system changed in mid year.. man the pumps look the same but turn backwards from one another..
Just because the engine turns clockwise doesn't mean the pump must also..
LOOK AT THE BELT SYSTEM!
