Has anyone here installed the AmeriLite headlight assembly on their 2001-2011 Ranger? If so, I was interested in your experience -- any issues you encountered, solutions you used, etc.
The headlight assembly is requiring a bit of innovation. They didn't design the replacement to use the adjuster rods from the stock assembly and the lower-left post on the assembly (as it arrives) is slightly too short to reach far enough for the left slide to go down and lock in place. I figured out I could add some washers to the post behind the head and that would get it to extend far enough.
However, I also now realize that any headlight adjustment will require using washers (like I did above), possibly on one or more of the three posts. That can work and once done it wouldn't have to be done again. But, still interested if anyone came up with other ideas.
FYI: I have a 2002 and the taillight assembly went pretty smoothly; no significant issues.
