Opinion on extended warranty

I have a 2019 Ranger. My concern, all the sensors, modules and other electronics (Sync included). Before the factory warranty expired, the main camera quit due to a faulty cable. Any thoughts on Ford extended warranties? I have seen a post on ones opinion, but it seems outdated due to the year of vehicles mentioned.

idk much about 3rd party ones. if you can get a ford ESP, i highly recommend them

Be very careful on who you get. some of the third party are fine until you need them. they are glad to take your money but once something goes wrong, you have to prove six ways to sunday that you did all of your maintenence, held your jaw right each time you started the car... the youtube chanel Royalty Auto has done a few on extended warranties and what to look for and some of the horror stories they have personally dealt with on engine replacement. (do a search on the Jeep 3.6 engine replacement..)

Honestly, for anything older than 2010, you don't need a warranty and it is too old to bother with anyways, but 2019, I would worry about turbos, timing chains/ sets, transmissions, and infotainment screens. all of those are high cost items and seem to be high fail point items. modern vehicles are just not as reliable as the pre 2010 vehicles, you will be lucky to get 200k out of them
