I want opinions on what carb to go with. I know there are many options I just want some good input. Truck is 90 ranger it will have a 79 302 with stock bore factory rods and pistons gt40p heads with trickflow springs edelbrock performer rpm intake and a comp extreme energy cam with a 509 intake and 513 exhaust...I plan to try and use Ford racing headers it will have a built c4 373 8.8 out back. It will be a toy I will drive it on the street but in no way a daily driver. I have a holley 1850-3 600 cfm vaccum secondary but have read some reviews that make me think it won't be great with my cam intake head setup.

I love my 1403 Edebrock. FWIW feeding a pretty much stock HO long lock it is rodded and jetted down quite a bit. I don't know why some think a 302 needs such a huge carb. It has a nice snappy throttle response, cracks right off when I go to start it like EFI and is easy to tune without making a mess. 5 years, no complaints.

Holleys have more adustibility, Edebrocks are easier from what I hear.
