Someone messed up!
 
Looks like whatever was being towed flipped to the left. At least it stayed intact, hopefully keeping the trailer from detaching and becoming a "runaway".

Doing donuts with a trailer in tow is not recommended.

Smart. Saves the trip to the store to get a draw bar for a recovery D-ring.
 
Hmm, I don't think the ball is supposed to be mounted in that orientation LOL. Whatever they were towing was heavy, probably one of those ridiculously too large travel trailers and using the wrong hitch for it, those things are only rated for 5,000 pounds, add in the additional forces of a trailer flipping and you got well what's in that picture...
