I have a 1997 2wd ranger, and i’m in a little bind at the moment. i got a hole in my passenger front tire. I have a donor truck that has stock ford 15 inch rims, but i only could get one wheel off at the moment, as the other lug nuts are seized and need to be tended to. I know it’s probably not a smart idea, and it’s probably not good for my truck. but it’s only until i can get some new rubber delivered to me. But what are the issues with running 1 15inch rim size with 3 14 inch stock ford rims for about a week or two? (maybe longer as getting stuff up to ak is a pain) tire size on my 14’s is 225-70r14 as with the 15, 235-75r15. what configuration would be the safest, and smartest? i currently have the 15 inch on my passenger front but am definitely willing to switch it around as i don’t want to destroy my truck. Thanks!

On the rear would be best, no it won't hurt anything

If you have a limited slip differential on the rear, I think it would be better to leave the 15" on the front. Open differential should be okay either way for just a couple weeks if you don't drive a lot. If you have 4WD, it would be best to leave it in 2WD with the 15" wheel on either location.

I would be concerned about the difference in braking with a different size tire on it. Having it on the rear would be a little safer.

it might want to pull to one side with a bigger tire on front, could pull even more while braking.
