I am finally back from Iraq, this is good. I am finally going to get new tires this is better. I am going to get 265/75r16... I don't know I keep getting my head turned by different treads. It is most confusing I must say. I do want either an aggressive a/t or a mild m/t... So help me sort this one out.

What are you using the truck for? Welcome back!

Kris

this is my evrything truck, you know work, d/d, mountain, towing and anything else I can throw at it...

Welcome back!

As for tires, Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's (from what I have read) are good tires all around. Road noise, rain, snow, mud, off-road, etc, etc they have fairly high marks. They are a bit on the pricey side, but I think you get what you pay for.

If you aren't doing any serious offroading, I'd suggest the tried and true BFG AT. Great tire and seems to last forever.

I am coming imbetween bags of grass clippings and dog poo clean up. I don't care too much for bfg. I think that I am the only one in the world who has had bad luck with them. They wore funny and didn't last worth a hoot. Plus some of the newer tires out there seem to be a better blend of traction types. Not that bfg' hasn't created the foundation for off road tires, but not my cup of tea. If you can't tell I am working on my language. a 13 month activation and all my language has... let's just say gotten bad!

I agree with this, I had them with my expe having bad alignment, no funny wear for me. Also your in washington and from what Ive read with these guys here they are shite in mud but a bangup tire for the snow.

Goodyear Duratrac, Cooper Discoverer ST, or Goodyear Wrangler Authority (Wal-Mart only) are all very nice mixes between an AT and an MT...

I can absolutely recommend BF Goodrich A/t. I don't believe that there is a better all terrain out there.

Me too, the new KO's are much better than the old non-KO's.

One tire you might want to check out is the Dunlop Mud Rover. They have been a great tire for a buddy of mine and I just bought some. They are a cheaper tire and perform quite well, I will be getting mine siped though being in the upstate NY area. I picked up those tires on AR black steel wheels for $500.

Glad to hear you got back safely!

This was a good post.

The BFG A/T is a great tire. They last forever and have decent traction.

Thank you all for the support and the advise. I still don't know what the best tire is for me I guess I will just have to discount tire dry hump a tire to happiness. When I get some tires put on I will post them
