I bought a 93 Ranger couple years back at the time I purchased the truck the engine had a miss and over heating problem. I went to troubleshooting and found an injector bad and a blown head gasket. I removed the heads and installed new head gaskets both sides and remounted all parts needed to run engine after doing all this the engine idles low and oil pressure follows the RPM down after engine heats up. All help needed thanks

what are your pressure readings

Oil Pressure generally stay in the normal range until I get to a red light while I'm waiting for the light to turn the engine is idling low the pressure reads in the low range it actually looks like gauge is pegging the low side. Your next question will be why is the engine idling low well i keep setting it up and the idle keeps coming back down. Some time the engine raises to a higher rpm and then slows down to an idle it has me stunned.

For some kind of reason I don't think there's any problems with the oil pressure it self could the problem be a vacuum problem or a sensor malfunction. I had a technician work on the truck and nothing was solved so i figure i can do that much and not cost me an arm and leg.

Sounds like main or cam bearing gaps to wide.

If the oil pressure on the gauge drops but the engine sounds fine (no tick or knock) you need to replace the the pressure switch. If the engine emits a tick or knock do an pressure check with the right equipment.

If you replace the switch use a Motorcraft one. I work in parts and sell different brands but OE is best.

I bought a switch for the engine waiting to replace oil and install the sending unit then. I just put off doing that because I wasn't quite sure that would solve the problem.
Thanks
