am still putting my '93 back together. short story engine rebuild, found short block "factory authorized rebuild" '06 lower (with girdle/windage) was putting pan on this evening and determined "girdle" is wider than pan is at that height. (pan will not seat down fully). My question: would you pull the girdle off and grind it narrower or ?
keep in mind my truck is equipped with Twin I Beam, so i do not know if i could buy a pan for an '06 or not.?!
