ECM not communicating with diagnostic port // ABS does show up after searching and manual entry of info
Auto searching // nothing
Possible bad ECM

Related // hit speed bump hard with heavy load in bed

Check the wiring before you throw an ECM at it. Since it sounds like you had an issue after a hard hit on a speed bump, it could be a chaffed wire issue or a poorly installed connection than a hardware issue.

Not to say that a shorted wire couldn't have taken out the ECM.

Test light to OBD port lights on one of seven // after manually entering vehicle info //;No number or ID shown for PCM // shows xxx-xxx
Variable of ABS info shows up
Does this show communication to ECU??
U it could still be functioning problem limited to link to diagnostic port??

So focus on this section of wires?
Code reader if 4 Ford vehicles//
Many functions // options // info

Check fuses. Usually the cigarette lighter is on the same circuit as the test port. If whatever circuit the test port is on has a blown fuse, you get no communication.

Side note, the way you are writing this stuff out makes it hard to follow.
