Is it just me or does it seem like the older I get, the more people die each year. I've had three people die in the last 3 months. One of them was the owner of the company I work for's wife. I got a call today that a guy I work with was found dead in his camper. He lived on the company's property because he didn't have any family. He has lived there for a year or so since his last heart attack. He was getting close to 80 or so. It's sad because he was an extremely nice old man. He is the guy who went and picked up all our campers in Indiana.

Just Friday I had to tow his truck which broke down and helped him put a starter in it. He was perfectly normal, and laughing and joking with me. I am glad he left on a good note. I guess when they found him, his truck was outside running, like he was planning on going somewhere, but after a while he never left, so they went to check on him and found him in the camper.

So is it me, or the older a person gets the more it seems more close friends and relatives die.

Sorry to hear that man. To answer your question I would have to say its a different case with everyone. Im 17 and have had friends and family die. You just never know when it's your time, or when it's someone elses.

+1, when i was 13 my mom died, then last year i had a friend die beacuse he had a drug problem a long time ago and relapsed and shot himself....... its hard bing almost 19 and not haveing those ppl in my life. just think though, there always ur ur heart and watching over you:icon_thumby:

I hope the number of people i know that die doesnt increase as i get older. Theres a lot of people in trouble in that case. Through out highschool from my freshman to senior year, 25 people passed away in almost every possible way. If I didnt personally know them my younger sister did. College has been pretty ruff so far come to think of it. At least none of my buddies in the armed forces have died recently.

i'm also 19, just last january (the 25th actually) i lost a very close friend, i grew up with him since i was 7. He drowned on his quad, he fell through the ice on a lake. I can see how it can be like that, my grandfather just past away this december as well, and my aunt died in september.

you have my sympathy. i too have lost many people close to me in the past 3 years, my grandmother, my friends mother whom i was very close with, 1 of my aunts, a friend from my youth who crashed his plane(unintentional), and a few others less close to me who i cant remember at the moment. i also am young (23) and hope that i can get a few years without losing anyone close to me.....

my thought and prayers are with you bro, but i'm 30 right now and I've been working now for 11 years as a Fire Medic and have seen everything from getting a 911 call and get onscene and find it to be a high school friend and even a family member, but life goes on and everyone has their own special way of dealing with these loses.

not to jack the thread, but as i have grown older it seems like each days news brings yet another predator story.wtf is wrong with people, preying on kids and women.nieghbors wife dropped dead 2 days before christmas,48 yrs old.

It's just a sad fact of life that, yes the older you get, the more friends and close family are going to die. Been luckly in the last 30 years not to lose more than one close friend but Dad is 92 and fighting the big "C" and probably won't see his next birthday. Just have to really enjoy what you have and all the friends and family. I took early retirement, told them that "I would rather run out of money than run out of time". Life can really be all too short in many cases.

I am only 23, I lost my dad unexpected in 2005. I had just turned 21. Life sucks sometimes.

Really it's kind of relative, More people don't die as you get older, you just know more people as you get older. It sucks when it happens and sure it's pretty sad. The problem is that death is are destiny; some reach it before others but I'm just glad I got to know and be friends with the people I know who have already passed.
