That sewing machine is AWESOME.
That's a nice sewing machine, all cast iron and heavy as hell. You can sew just about anything with them. It's older than you are, heck it's older than I am. If you can find a wheel foot for it, sewing leather or very heavy materials is much easier.
If you are tempted to try sewing leather, try it on a scrap piece first as it tends to distort and drag on the slipper foot. A walking foot machine is the way to go for leather but a wheel works very well. That was a good deal for that machine, do you let the wife use it?
not so much....i've been a licenced auto upholsterer/glass tech for 25 years.among other things.so, you know how to use a sewing machine better than your wife? a bit backwards dont you think?
