(Not an RBV) My Dakota.

Well I removed the FMU and it's assorted shit today. Also found a home for the MS2, pulled the cupholder trim off the dash to find a nice open cavity to hide the box, I've got the USB cable going into the glovebox.

Well a new BOV showed up today, the greddy knock-off was junk and leaked like a screen door.. Picked this 50mm unit up from Race Part Solutions, it's a Tial knock-off. Cut off the old flange, enlarged the hole (This new one is 20mm bigger!) and welded the new flange on. Works flawlessly and sounds great too! My 42lb injectors also showed up today so I threw them in, turned the req_fuel down in MS and it fired right up and I drove around and did some tuning, the tune actually wasn't too far off... Also got rid of the CEL by plugging the old injectors into the factory harness, it sure makes a hell of a racket with 16 injectors clacking away!

The BOV, you can also see the IAT sensor bung I welded in.

SWEET!

no more annoying ass Leak!

Well I scared myself a little today. Driving around tuning in the rain, 1st-3rd are useless for traction when it's wet, so I'm out on the freeway doing 70, drop to 4th and punch it, I hit 85 around 3500 RPM 7PSI and the ass end starts to get squirrely, I'd say things are moving along nicely!

So if anyone is wondering if a NP231 will hold up behind a turbocharged small block....

No, no it won't.

Time to make some decisions where I want to go with this truck, trail wise..

Not sure, yet, yesterday on the way home from work it started popping/slipping a little. First I suspected it was the locker but it didn't really sound/feel like a locker slipping. Then today on my lunch break in a parking lot it started popping while I was going around a corner and I could tell 4wd was engaging and disengaging on it's own. Either way I think it's staying parked till I figure out what I wanna do.

Both Novak and Advance Adapters makes upgraded parts for those 231's. I really wouldn't have thought that you would have had a problem with that t-case. I don't hear of many failures other than the slip yoke.

Hmm. I was almost thinking going with an Atlas but that's a lot of money. Then I was thinking NWF black box with a 231 or 241.

But I think for a trail rig the stock 1st gear and low range will be plenty low. I already towed an explorer on it's top uphill at idle, it's pretty damn low. Way lower than my B2 and with V8 torque to boot. And it'll stay low with the 40s and 5.13s. So I'm thinking a NP241 with a SYE. From what I gather, the 241 is a 231 with stronger internals. But I do hear of guys busting the 231 case, so I dunno. A 203/205 would be nice too but a PITA to adapt to my tranny I believe.

Ive heard of just about every case that's not made out of iron busting at some point or another. I think that boils down to driver error/abuse more than anything. A 203-205 combo would be nice, but like you mentioned it would be a pain to adapt it, not to mention another 130 lbs. or so over what you already have hanging off your tail housing.

I just wish I wasn't down to 3 days a week at work right now, it's really cutting into my toy money. There's gonna be a lot of money just in the 14bff and the D60. I wasn't planning on selling the B2 until after new years but I might just let it go sooner.

Well I found a guy on criagslist that cracked his jeep NP231 but has all the parts for $10. The internals swap between the Jeep and Dodge so hopefully tomorrow I can pull it and swap parts and have my daily driver back :yahoo:

This time I should refrain from 4wd launches :icon_rofl:

I'm going to check one of these out next week, might buy it too. It's a 92 4x4 but the gas mileage has me second guessing it. What were you getting for numbers back when yours was stock?

Not bad looking trucks in my opinion. This is the one I'm thinking about checking in on. It's only got 111k miles.

Stock with a few bolt-ons, mixed was 13.5-15 depending on time of year18-20ish on the freeway depending on how fast I'm going and such.

Being a 92, that won't have a 5 speed so mileage will be noticeably less than mine. Probably 12ish mixed/around town and 18 freeway.

Yeah, it's an auto. Which I've been looking for anyway. My girlfriend can't drive stick yet, and I want her to be able to drive whatever I get if need be.

That's right around what I was expecting anyway, I'm still iffy on it since I regularly drive 1000 miles per week, more on occasion. I do need a 4x4 truck though, so I might have to bite the bullet.
