Noise: thought left front hub/brake: replaced rotor, bearings, and pads no difference, replaced both struts (it was actually past time) new inbox quick struts, rotated tires. no change in noise starts at roughly 20 - 25 mph and increases as speed increases - tried putting into neutral (rpm drop) no change.

This truck is 2007 f - 150 5.4l and 159,xxx miles
It sounds like a truck with aggressive tires not as audible but same nature of sound.

Have you tried rotating your tires? If your strut was bad, chances are it's made your tire feather, and that could be the noise. I went through this on my F150, and rotating the tires drastically made the ride quieter.

Yes replaced both struts and rotated tires - still with noise. if the timing phasers or tensioners go bad what noise does it make?

Cam phasers sound like a rod knock or kind of like a old school diesel (back when they knocked and were proud of it)

Dad had a 4wd hub go out in his '05. They default to lock in 4wd and use vacuum to pull the hubs out for 2wd when you start the engine (unless you have it in 4wd) With age they get weak and can't pull it out all the way so the splines buzz on each other.

If it is 4wd I would check that out.

First off sorry took so long to get back. truck is 2wd , the phasers are evidently good.
The noise starts audible about 20 - 25 mph almost sounds like an old flex fan except engine rpm does not effect the sound level. ????????
BTW thank you all for the input
