No Trailing Package

Not enough coffee before posting again lol.

Brake-boosting is a classic roll-racing technique to build boost before the start line.

The amount of load a motor is under is just as impactful to spool time as rpm is. Riding the brake to "artificially" put the motor under more load could potentially provide you with a bigger jump in boost than a downshift would.. provided a consistent mph is the goal.. Definitely more useful in a racing situation and not "real life".. like I said.. not enough coffee lol.

"Brake-Boosting"........ Must be a regional term? We always called that technique "Power-Braking".

Have yet to try that in my 2019... I'm thinking once the turbo spooled up, if the traction control was off, and the rear locker was on... that might be really fun..... or really expensive.

I never felt the need in my old Eclipse.

The torque steer was bad enough as it was lol...

Eclipse?

Didn't they make engines for the Japanese Zero?

Mitsubishi designed/built the plane, Nakajima provided the engine which was kind of a mix-mash of prewar British and American designs.

No 4G63T's were involved...

Mine was actually a Plymouth Laser (Chrysler built Sherman tanks FWIW). Basically the same car but not as fancy (better looking IMO) that nobody has ever heard of. Those two plus the Eagle Talon were all the same basic car and built in Normal Illinois.

Is there an abnormal Illinois?

Must be, them regional terms get wierd sometimes lol.

Up here, doing a burnout where youre on the brakes so you don't move forward is called a brake-stand.. but just a few states south I was hearing it called power braking. Ive also heard the term brake boosting mean standing on both pedals, but not doing a burnout.. just loading it up for launch.

A truck cap to me, could be a "topper" or "camper shell" to someone else... These terms were weird after only hearing them called caps for 30 years lol.

My driveshaft is someone else's driveline.. this one really makes me oddly uncomfortable.

Bah. We need some universalization of terminology. Gets too confusing.

At least chowdah is universal...
