If you have access to Fuel Pump Relay socket, it will have 4 maybe 5 slots, only 4 are used.
With key OFF, check each slot for 12volts, one should have 12volts, thats the power FOR the fuel pump, it has power all the time from 30amp fuse or fusible link.
In a 1991 electrical diagram it shows Fuse #1 as the 30amp fuse for Fuel Pump power in engine fuse box.
Fusible links were only used for alternator in 1991, that is what it shows, but drawing are not always correct, so grain of salt.
Turn key on, another slot should now have 12volts, that's the "relay" power from the EEC relay right next door which powers the EEC(computer), spark, fuel injectors and fuel pump relay.
The computer Grounds the fuel pump "relay" part to close relay and send 30amp power to inertia switch and fuel pump.
And just as a heads up, the fuel pump's Ground is often near the inertia switch, that's where the wiring harness for fuel pump and fuel gauge exit the cab to go back to fuel tank.
Bad ground means no fuel pump as well
