No Speedo, Dome, or wipers

I just bought a 2001 Ranger Extended Cab 4x4 with 4.0 v6 and automatic that has a list of issues. I wrote about it but that was under another thread and it was suggested that I start a new thread, so here we are. Anyhow, while looking it over prior to purchase we found that the wipers didn't work. Thinking that it was probably just the motor i went ahead and bought it. I came back to get it the next day and as i pulled onto the road i saw that the speedometer wasn't working! Later I noticed that the dome light wasn't working as well. Brother and I checked all of the fuses and relays and they all checked good. I made a long list of things that weren't working and took it to my mechanic. I told him that my brother wondered if it could be a body control module issue and he said those hardly ever go bad and that i need to get a new instrument cluster and also need a new wiper motor, so i got on ebay and found one of each and put them in. Still no wipers and speedometer and odometer still don't work. To clarify the cluster was used but tested good and the wiper motor was new. He is getting a new speed sensor that's on the tranny and we'll see what that does. I also went ahead and ordered another GEM module to see if that fixes the wipers and dome light. Cross your fingers!

Made a bit of progress today! I pulled the radio out in preparation for the GEM module i have ordered and inadvertently popped fuse #22 to the cigarette lighter. While checking fuses I found that fuse #26 wasn't installed, so after replacing #22 i also put a fuse in the #26 spot and the door dinger started going off. As i pulled out of my parking spot i saw that the speedometer and odometer started working! I got excited and turned on the wipers and to my surprise they began to wipe! Sadly they only went back and forth a time or two then stopped halfway up. One other thing i noticed is that the airbag light that has been on since i got the truck went off. The tradeoff is that now the Door Ajar light is on and the dome light still doesn't work. The new GEM module came in today and tomorrow I'll put that in and see what happens.

Door switch???? Light bulb????

If the P.O. couldn’t figure out how to turn off the light when the door switch went bad the dumbass fix it pull the bulb.
