Ignition module? Did you replace that when you did the distributor?
there is a killer troubleshooting guide done by this forum on this issue it got mine running in NO time, if u cant find it lemme know, il post it

Hi, I’m new, just got an 86 2.9 that had a small engine bay fire from trans fluid coming out of the filler tube. Re-wired all of the damaged areas but now I have no spark, can someone lead me to the troubleshooting guide that is being talked about in this thread please. I have searched but I’m not seeing it. Thanks!
