I have a 1995 Ford Ranger 4cylinder manual and i lose a lot of power going up hills as much as 15-20mph also the truck idles rough and will sometimes sound like its about to turn off when stopped at a light. Also when slowing down for a light (in neutral) it sounds like the accelerator is stuck and it stays revved until i stop for a good 2sec or hit the accelerator and rev the engine and it will usually slow to normal. ANY HELP WOULD BE AWESOME!!

thanks a lot ill take a look at that...can that be clogged and cleaned or would it be better to just buy a new one?

Have it checked at a shop. The IAC's can eventually go bad, but if you're not sure don't just throw parts at a problem. It can get pricey. ps. Just get another IAC if it needs it. Cleaning it really isn't an option.

ok well that was not the problem but thanks... so if there are any other suggestions out there please let me know!!!
