I installed my new 2.0L engine in my ranger. It sounds wonderful but is bucking at constant speeds and when I get into the second barrel of the carb it bogs down. I timed it 6 degrees btf and tuned the carb like I always have and it just is not right

Did you remove the distributor vac line while setting the timing? If not, you are about 20* out of timing...and that will allow it to run but have no advance within the setup...

Could also be that the distributor was inserted out of timing...so when you set the timing have the distributor cap off and set the marks to TDC...on compression stroke...align the oil pump gear with the crank gear and then insert the distributor...it will rotate upon insertion so watch what way it turns and then put the rotor on the distrubutor...it should now point directly at the cap marking for #1 cylinder...if not, pull it out, rotate it a few degrees left or right and insert the distributor again...until it aligns properly with #1 on the cap...

That should sort it out for you...
