No overdrive.

I have a 96 4.0 4x4 that won't shift into overdrive. It's throwing a p0761 code which is shift solenoid c performance/stuck on or off. Replaced the solenoid but didn't fix the problem. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated!

You have a 4R55E automatic in 1996 Ranger with 4.0l

Explorers used same engine and transmission
