no instrument lights

Alright so here is a great problem. I was jackin around with my radio trying to get subs to work, which still dont. So after a bit i give up and put the cd player back in the dash. Now when i turn on my lights nothing inside comes on. The instrument cluster is just dark, the HVAC controls are dark. Ebrake light, blinkers, abs light, and all those things come on, but nothing else? Anyone ever experience this before, or have any tips?

check to see if you may have bumped the dimmer for the dash lights by mistake

turned it all over the place and nothing.

Probably not the answer but check your fuses. I have installed a new radio in my 2002 ranger and tripped a fuse. I am having problems with the lights on my door power window switches and the light behind the on/off switch for the lights not working. Puzzling to me.
